Areas of practice
Katherine has a broad practice encompassing a wide variety
of chancery and commercial litigation, including advisory work.
She has particular interest in property and insolvency law. Her
property-related work includes landlord and tenant (residential
and commercial), real property (boundary disputes), and trusts of
land matters (orders for sale). Katherine’s commercial practice
covers insolvency (petitions for bankruptcy, applications to set
aside statutory demands), breach of contract (sale of goods, supply
of services and contracts regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974),
and professional negligence. Part of her practice consists of personal
injury litigation.
Katherine also has experience of public and administrative law,
including planning.
Katherine appears before a variety of tribunals, predominantly
the County Courts, but also in front of the Registrars in the Bankruptcy
Courts, and Masters and High Court Judges in the High Court. She
also has experience of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and local
inquiries (both planning and statutory).
