Practice Overview
Daniel was called to the bar in 2008. Having completed a 12 month pupillage in general chancery at 9 Stone Buildings in 2008-9, he became a member of Thirteen Old Square in 2010. He appears regularly in the county courts and in the High Court and practises in the following areas:
- Real property, including possession, boundary disputes, mortgage fraud and claims as to beneficial interests
- Landlord and tenant
- Trusts
- Corporate and personal insolvency
- Contractual disputes
- General commercial disputes
Education & qualifications
Daniel was the Cairncross award holder and Winter Williams law scholar at St Peter’s College, Oxford before coming to the bar. Having also completed an MPhil in law at St Peter’s with Distinction, he was admitted to the DPhil and is due to submit his doctoral thesis at Oxford in October 2011. Daniel received five outstandings on the bar vocational course (three for advocacy) and was awarded the prestigious Beddingfield scholarship by Gray’s Inn. Daniel has been a tutor at St Peter’s and the LSE and has a number of academic publications.
